Microsoft, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook have all agreed to European regulations that require the companies to review the majority of hateful speech and other online propaganda within 24 hours of it being reported through notification tools. They’ll also remove the content if deemed necessary

The move highlights a growing sense of concern amongst European nations about the ways in which social media platforms can be used to organize terrorist attacks and cultivate hate and intolerance.
